Walter Isaacson (20  de mayu de 1952Nueva Orleans) ye un periodista, escritor y biógrafu estauxunidense.

Biografía[editar | editar la fonte]

Natural de Nueva Orleans, Isaacson llogró la so B.A. n'hestoria y lliteratura na Universidá Harvard en 1974. Darréu foi usufructuariu d'una beca Rhodes nel Pembroke College de la Universidá d'Oxford.

Empezó la so carrera periodística nel Sunday Times de Londres. Darréu foi presidente y CEO de la CNN y editor xerente de Time Magacín.

Ocupó tamién cargos públicos: en 2005, nel so estáu natal trabayó na Luisiana Recovery Authority, al cargu de la recuperación tres el desastre del furacán Katrina. Dos años dempués integró'l comité d'amistá EE. UU. - Palestina.[1] Hillary Clinton nomar vicepresidente de Partners for a New Beginning, en procura de llograr asociaciones públicu-quitaes nel mundu musulmán.[2] Tamién copreside la mesa de diálogu EE. UU. - Vietnam.[3] En 2009, Obama nomar presidente del Broadcasting Board of Governors, qu'alministra La Voz d'América, Radio Europa Llibre y otres radioemisoras internacionales.[4]

Na actualidá ye presidente y CEO del Aspen Institute, un centru d'estudios políticos y educativos en Washington, D.C.

Escribió les biografíes de Henry Kissinger, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein y Steve Jobs. En 2012 foi escoyíu pa integrar la llista Time 100 de les persones más influyentes del mundu.[5]
