OP Herculis (OP Her / HD 163990 / HR 6702)^[7] ye una estrella variable na constelación d'Hércules de magnitú aparente media +6,34. Alcuéntrase aproximao a 1000 años lluz del Sistema Solar.

OP Herculis ye una xigante o xigante lluminosa colorada de tipu espectral M5II-III^[7] y 3300 K de temperatura.^[8] Tocantes al so tamañu, ye una auténtica xigante con un radiu 140 vegaes más grande que'l radiu solar; si tuviera nel centru del Sistema Solar, la so superficie llegaría hasta'l 90% de la distancia esistente ente Venus y el Sol. La so masa ye'l doble de la masa solar^[8] y tien una metalicidá comparable a la de la nuesa estrella.^[9] Ye una estrella de tecneciu, lo que se revela pola presencia d'esti elementu nel so espectru.^[10] Distintos estudios cifren la so magnitú bolométrica absoluta ente -4,1^[8] y -4,92,^[11] discrepancia qu'implica una diferencia na so lluminosidá de 3735 a 7940 vegaes la lluminosidá solar.

OP Herculis ye una variable pulsante semirregular SRB; éstes son xigantes con una periodicidá pocu definida, pero a les que se-y puede asignar un periodu mediu. Asina, el rellumu de OP Herculis fluctúa 0,9 magnitúes nun ciclu de 120,5 díes.
