Come güevos de pexes, calamares y Myctophidae .

Ye un pexe de mar y d'agües fondes que vive entre m de fondura.

Atópase al norte del Golfu de México, dende'l sur del Brasil hasta l'Arxentina, les Guayanes, dende Portugal hasta Namibia dende l'Arxentina hasta Suráfrica, Australia, Nueva Zelanda y Xapón.
