Richard Bowdler Sharpe (22 de payares de 1847, Snow Hill ^(en) – 25 d'avientu de 1909, Chiswick) foi un zoólogu inglés.

Sharpe nació en Londres y estudió en Brighton, Peterborough y Loughborough. A la edá de dieciséis foi a trabayar pa Smith & Sons en Londres. En 1864 empezó'l so primer trabayu ornitolóxicu, una monografía sobre los Martín pescadores (1868-71).

En 1867 Sharpe llogró'l puestu de bibliotecariu de la Sociedá Zoolóxica de Londres, encamentáu por Osbert Salvin y Philip Sclater. A la muerte de George Robert Gray en 1872 ingresó al Muséu Británicu como un Ayudante Mayor na Seición de Zooloxía, encargándose de la coleición de páxaros. Foi'l curador asistente del muséu dende 1895 y permaneció ellí hasta la so muerte (por pulmonía).

Sharpe fundó'l Club de los Ornitólogos Británicos en 1892 (British Ornithologists' Club) y revisó el boletín qu'este edita. Escribió trelce, esto ye, casi la metá de los 27 volumes del Catálogu de los Páxaros del Muséu británicu (1874-1898).
