Ípsilon Pegasi

Ípsilon Pegasi (υ Pegasi / υ Peg / 68 Pegasi) ye una estrella na constelación de Pegasu de magnitú aparente +4,40.[8] Nun tien nome propiu pero, xunto a τ Pegasi, yera conocida pol astrónomu persa Al Sufi como Naʽamah Al-Saʽd; estos dos estrelles tamién recibieron el nome de Al Karab, «la cuerda de cubu».[9]
Ípsilon Pegasi ye una subxigante blancu-mariella de tipu espectral F8IV, enantes clasificada como xigante de tipu F8III. Les subxigantes son estrelles evolucionaes que terminaron la fusión del so hidróxenu internu y empiecen a espandise, empecipiando'l so tresformamientu en xigantes coloraes. Asina, el radiu de Ípsilon Pegasi ye 5 vegaes más grande que'l del Sol[10] y rota a gran velocidá —la so velocidá de rotación proyeutada ye de 73,4 km/s—, completando una vuelta en menos de 2,15 díes.[11] La so edá más probable ye de 800 millones d'años.[12]
Ípsilon Pegasi tien una temperatura superficial nel rangu de 5794 - 5874 K[10][13] y relluma con una lluminosidá 26 vegaes mayor que la lluminosidá solar;[10] coles mesmes, ye una fonte de radiación infrarroxo.[14] Alcuéntrase a 173 años lluz del Sistema Solar.
