Ellyn Kaschak (23 de xunu de 1943) ye una sicóloga clínica d'Estaos Xuníos y una de les fundadores del campu de la sicoloxía feminista, que ella prauticó y enseñó dende 1972. Les sos tantes publicaciones, incluyendo Engendered Lives: A New Psychology of Women´s Experience (Kaschak, 1993), ayudaron a definir el campu. Amás ye l'actual editora del periódicu académicu Women & Therapy.

Educación

Ellyn Kaschak nació en Brooklyn, Nueva York y graduóse de Harpur College de la State University of New York con una Llicenciatura en Llinguaxe y Lliteratura rusa (1965). Tres años dempués, llogró un grau de maestría de la George Washington University. En 1974, recibió un Doctoráu en Sicoloxía Clínica de la Ohio State University. Amás, Kaschak completó una pasantía nel Palo Alto Veterans Administration Hospital.

Carrera

Kaschak foi profesora de sicoloxía na San Juan State University dende 1974 y ye anguaño profesora emérita. Na San José State University, sirvió los cargos de presidenta del programa de graduaos en Casoriu, Familia y Orientación Infantil y de direutora de los Servicios de Conseyería de Familia de la Universidá.

Kaschak ye tamién la editora del periódicu Women and Therapy, y la xefa de redaición de la compañía publicadora de y-books Ampersand Academic Press. Kaschak sirvió como la Presidenta del Institutu de Terapia Feminista, del Comité de Sicoloxía Femenina de la American Psychological Association (APA) y ye miembru de la División 35 (la Sicoloxía de la Muyer), la División 12 (Sicoloxía Clínica), la División 44 (Asuntos LGBT), la División 45 (Asuntos de les Minoríes Étniques) y la División 52 (Sicoloxía Internacional) de l'APA.
