Juan Luis Vázquez Suárez (26 de xunetu de 1946, Uviéu), ye caderalgu de matemática aplicada nel Departamentu de Matemátiques de la Facultá de Ciencies de la Universidá Autónoma de Madrid. Impartió clases d'ecuaciones diferenciales y la de mecánica de fluyíos na llicenciatura de matemátiques ente otres.
Biografía[editar | editar la fonte]
Ente los años 1964/69 realiza estudios de Telecomunicaciones na Escuela Téunica Cimera d'Inxenieros de Telecomunicación de Madrid. Llicenciáu en Matemátiques pola Universidá Complutense de Madrid llogró'l doctoráu na mesma en 1979.[6] Mientres dos años 1996/98 foi presidente de la Sociedá Española de Matemática Aplicada (SEMA). Destacáu investigador n'árees concretes de les matemátiques como les Ecuaciones en derivaes parciales non lliniales y les sos aplicaciones.
Ye autor de numberosos artículos d'investigación en publicaciones científiques como Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis, Communications in Pure and Applied Mathematics, Journal de mathématiques pures et appliquées, Advances in Mathematics y otres.
Foi nomáu en 2003 na llista de Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Scientist 2003 y llogró el Premiu Nacional de Investigación Julio Rey Pastor tamién en 2003.
Participó como conferenciante plenariu nel Congresu Internacional de Matemáticos nel añu 2006 (ICM2006) cola conferencia titulada Nonlinear espardimientu, from analysis to physics and geometry.
En 2012 foi nomáu Fellow d'American Mathematical Society.[7]
En 2014 foi investido miembru numerario de la Real Academia de Ciencies Exactes, Físiques y Naturales[8] española
