Amarilis Paula Alberti de Varennes y Mendonça (1 de payares de 1955) ye una inxeniera agrónoma, micóloga, taxónoma y profesora portuguesa. Trabaya sobre la taxonomía ibérica y macaronésica, florística, sistemática de poliporoides basidiomicetes corticioides (fungos) de Portugal. Pertenez al equipu académicu del Muséu, Llaboratoriu y Jardim Botânico Tropical de la Universidá de Lisboa.

En 1979, llogró la llicenciatura en bioloxía pola Facultá de Ciencies, de la Universidá Téunica de Lisboa. Y en 1985 el PhD en bioloxía, defendiendo la tesis: Dellos aspeutos de la participación de güéspedes nel retrucáu del virus del mosaicu del caupí, pola Universidá de Anglia del Este.
