L'índiz de color B - V, usáu na Fotometría, ye la resultancia de restar a la magnitú llograda en Banda B (con filtru azul) la llograda en Banda V (con filtru verde).
La resultancia indica' color propiu de los astros: va ser 0 si l'astru ye blancu, negativu si ye azuláu o positivu si ye mariellu, anaranxáu o acoloratáu: dexa conocer la temperatura superficial del astru.
