Mariana Meerhoff (17 de xunu de 1975, Montevidéu) ye una investigadora uruguaya y profesora axunta del Centru Universitariu de la Rexón Esti de la Universidá de la República. Tamién ye investigadora de la Universidá d'Aarhus y miembru del Conseyu Asesor y del Conseyu d'Alministración del Institutu Suramericanu d'Investigación y Educación en Ciencies de la Sustentabilidad y la Resiliencia (SARAS² pola so sigla n'inglés). Asina mesmu, desempéñase como Profesor Grau 4 del Programa de Desenvolvimientu de la Ciencies Básiques (PEDECIBA, Uruguái), y ye Investigador Nivel 2 del Sistema Nacional d'Investigadores de la Axencia Nacional d'Investigación ya Innovación (SNI, ANII, Uruguái). Na actualidá cunta con más de 70 publicaciones d'artículos científicos en revistes arbitraes. En 2011 foi reconocida col Premios L'Oréal-UNESCO Muyeres na Ciencia pol proyeutu "Funcionamientu ecosistémico en cuerpos d'agua: efeutos del grau d'impautu y l'apertura del ecosistema", y en 2015 col premiu internacional IRPE (International Recognition of professional Excellence in Limnology) y el premiu nacional (Roberto Caldeyro Barcia-PEDECIBA).

Trayeutoria académica

A los 18 años (en 1994) ingresó a la Facultá de Ciencies de la Universidá de la República a la Llicenciatura en Ciencies Biolóxiques, la que remató en 1998 con profundización n'Ecoloxía. Ente 1999 y 2001, realizó la Maestría en Ciencies Biolóxiques (PEDECIBA, UdelaR) tutoreada pol Dr. Néstor Mazzeo y el Dr. Brian Moss, titulada "Efeutu de la presencia de hidrófitas na estructura de les comunidaes de zooplancton y peces nun llagu hipereutrófico someru". En 2003 empieza'l so Doctoráu en Ciencies na Universidá d'Aarhus (Dinamarca) empobinada pol Dr. Erik Jeppesen y el Dr. Tom V. Madsen, que remata en 2006; la tesis titulóse "The structuring role of macrophytes on trophic dynamics of shallow lakes under a climate warming scenario". En 2010 llogró'l so posdoctorado en cooperación ente Uruguái y Dinamarca. Nesi mesmu añu asumió como Profesora Axunta nel Centru Universitariu Rexonal Este de la Universidá de la República, ingresando al Réxime de Dedicación Total.
