Catherine McClements (1965, Melbourne) ye una actriz australiana, más conocida por haber interpretáu a la detective Rachel Goldstein na serie australiana policiaca Water Rats y por interpretar a Christine Williams en Tangle.
Biografía[editar | editar la fonte]
Catherine actuó nel St. Martin's Youth Company en Melbourne por dos años antes de faer una audición a los 17 años y entrar nel prestixosu National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), onde en 1985 graduar con una llicenciatura n'actuación, xunto cola actriz Sonia Todd y el direutor Baz Luhrmann, col que salió.
Catherine conoció al actor polacu Jacek Koman en Melbourne y en 1989 casáronse. En xunetu del 2001 diéron-y la bienvenida a la so fía Clementine Cocu Koman y en mayu del 2007 al so fíu Quincy Koman. Dambos trabayaron xuntos en televisión y obres.[3]
La so hermana Georgina McClements ye una productora de televisión. Ente los sos creitos tán Real Stories y Summer Heights High.

Catherine trabayó tanto en cine, televisión y apaeció en delles producciones de compañíes de teatru como Belvoir St, The Melbourne Theatre Company y The Playhouse in Melbourne. Ente les sos apaiciones en teatru atópense, ente otres: Angels in America, The Crucible, Crystal Clear y It Just Stopped.
En 1986 interpretó a Jessica Taylor en Just Us, esi mesmu añu apaeció na miniserie My Brother Tom y un añu dempués interprétó a Sarah Redbridge n'a película dramática The Right Hand Man.
En 1990 apaeció na película Struck by Lightning que la fixo merecedora d'un premiu en 1993 por meyor actriz de repartu. Tamién apaeció na comedia Weekend with Kate, onde llogró un premiu AFI en 1990.
En 1992 interpretó a Diana nel thriller Redheads y un añu dempués llogró'l papel de Lorien na serie familiar y de fantasía The Girl from Tomorrow Part II: Tomorrow's End.
Del 1996 al 2000 llogró unu de los papeles principales de la serie Water Rats, onde interpretó a la Detective mayor de policía Rachel "Goldie" Goldstein.
Nel 2001 fixo apaiciones recurrentes na serie The Secret Life of Us, pola so actuación ganó un premiu AFI a la meyor actriz nun papel invitáu; el so maríu interpretó a Dominic na serie. Nel 2003 interpretó a Rosie nel drama CrashBurn y nel 2005 a Marleen nel telefilme Mary Bryant. Ente'l 2003 y el 2006 apaeció en Floodhouse, na miniserie After the Deluge onde interpretó a Nikki Kirby, tamién se xunió al repartu de Sexy Thing, Real Stories y al de Call Me Mum, onde dio vida a Kate; pola so interpretación foi nomada a un premiu AFI nel 2007.
Nel 2008 recibió una nominación a los premios Helpmann pola so actuación na obra Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Esi mesmu añu apaeció na serie Emerald Falls como Rosalie Bailey. Tamién se xunió a la serie policiaca Rush onde interpretó a la crítica y intimidante inspeutora Kerry Vincent, hasta'l final de la serie nel 2011.
Nel 2009 apaeció na serie dramática Tangle onde interpreta a Christine Williams.[4]
Nel 2013 xunir al repartu principal de la serie dramática Wentworth onde interpretó a Meg Jackson, la gobernadora de la prisión, en cuatro episodios, dempués de que'l so personaxe morriera al ser atacada mientres una revuelta na prisión empezada pola prisionera Jacs so les órdenes de Vera Bennett, la comisionada de la prisión.[5] La serie ye una nueva versión de la esitosa serie británica The Prisoner.
Nel 2016 apaeció como convidada nel quintu episodiu de la cuarta temporada de la serie Rake onde dio vida a l'abogada Julie Dunaford.
