La base de les Indies Orientales (East Indies Station) foi una formación de l'Armada Real británica n'activu dende l'añu 1865 hasta l'añu 1941.[1]
Dende l'añu 1831 hasta l'añu 1865 les Indies Orientales y la Base China (China Station) formaben un solu comandu conocíu como Base de les Indies Orientales y de China (East Indies and China Station).[1] La Base de les Indies Orientales, fundada nel añu 1865, cubrirá l'Océanu Índicu (con esclusión de les agües alredor de les Indies Orientales Neerlandeses, Sudáfrica y Australia) ya incluyía el Golfu Pérsicu y el Mar Roxu.[2] Estes responsabilidaes nun implicaben reivindicaciones territoriales, pero la marina de guerra protexía viviegamente los intereses comerciales de Gran Bretaña.
La Base de les Indies Orientales tenía asentamientos en Colombu, Trincomalee, Bombay, Basora y Adén. En respuesta a la medría de les amenaces per parte del Xapón, la Base separada de les Indies Orientales fundir cola Base China n'avientu del añu 1941 pa formar la Flota Oriental.[3]
