Zanthoxylum dipetalum, ye una rara especie d'arbustu perteneciente a la familia de les rutácees. Ye nativa de Ḥawai, onde s'atopa nos montes de 3 o 4 de les islles.^[1]

Descripción

Nel raigañu de Z. dipetalum atopáronse dellos compuestos químicos, incluyíu canthin-6-one, chelerythrina, nitidina, tembetarina, avicennol, xanthoxyletin, lupeol, hesperidin, sitosterol, y magnoflorina.^[2]

Distribución y hábitat

Tien dos variedaes.^[1]

Z. d. var. dipetalum ta presente en Kauai, nos montes d'Oahu, nes Islles Ḥawai en Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, y posiblemente en Molokai.
Z. d. var. tomentosum conócense unos 30 individuos nel volcán Hualalai en Ḥawai.^[1]^[3]^[4] Esta variedá ta considerada en peligru d'estinción nos Estaos Xuníos.

Taxonomía

Zanthoxylum dipetalum describióse por Horace Mann y espublizóse en Proceedings of the Boston Society of Natural History 10: 319, nel añu 1866.^[5]
