Smallanthus fruticosus ye una especie de planta fanerógama del xéneru Smallanthus perteneciente a la familia de les asteracees. Ye orixinaria de Suramérica.

Propiedaes[editar | editar la fonte]

P. fruticosa contién la flavona citotóxica centaureidin[3] y la flavanona sakuranetin.[4]

Taxonomía[editar | editar la fonte]

Smallanthus fruticosus describióse por (Benth.) H.Rob. y espublizóse en Phytologia 39: 49. 1978.[5]

Etimoloxía

Smallanthus: nome xenéricu que foi dau n'honor del botánicu d'Estaos Xuníos John Kunkel Small (1869-1938) más el sufixu anthus = "flor".

fruticosus: epítetu llatín que significa "arbustivo".[6]
