Nora Lustig (13 de xineru de 1951, Buenos Aires) ye profesora d'economía llatinoamericana nel Departamentu d'Economía de la Universidá Tulane Universidá Tulaneya investigadora non residente nel Centru pa Desenvolvimientu Global y el Diálogu Interamericano.[4] Anguaño tamién ye Direutora del Proyeutu Compromisu cola Equidad (CEQ[5]); editora del Diariu del Foru de Desigualdá Económica; y Vice-presidente de la Xunta de Direutores de la Rede Global pal Desenvolvimientu (GDN[6]).
Nora Lustig nació y creció en Buenos Aires, Arxentina y pasó la mayoría de la so vida nos Estaos Xuníos y Méxicu.[7] Ye Llicenciada n'Economía pola Universidá de California, Berkeley (1972) y recibió el so Doctoráu n'Economía de la mesma institución.

Lustig foi l'autora principal del Informe de Desenvolvimientu Mundial 2000/1 “Atacando la probeza” (Bancu MundialBancu Mundial).[8] L'analís de la dinámica de la economía mexicana foi l'otru focu principal de la so investigación. Como co-fundadora y presidente de l'Asociación d'Economía d'América Llatina y el Caribe (LACEA, poles sos sigles n'inglés), xugó un rol principal na creación y afitamientu de l'asociación principal d'economistes enfocaos en Llatinoamérica, el llanzamientu de la revista LACEA d'Economía y l'organización de Rede LACEA sobre Desigualdá y Probeza. De 2001 a 2005, desempeñóse como Rectora de la Universidá de les Amériques (UDLAP) en Puebla, Méxicu.
L'enfoque actual de la so investigación centrar n'evaluar l'impautu de los impuestos y el gastu social en más de 30 países alredor del mundu y nos factores determinantes de la dinámica de distribución del ingresu n'América Llatina.[12]
