Nora Irene Maidana (1953) ye una botánica y ficóloga arxentina. Llogró'l so llicenciatura y doctoráu en Ciencies biolóxiques, na Facultá de Ciencies Exactes y Naturales, de la UBA. Ye investigadora del CONICET.

En cursos de posgráu desenvuelve "Diatomees Continentales: Identificación, Taxonomía y Bioloxía", área na que ye una autoridá internacional[1]

Desenvuelve actividaes académiques nel "Departamentu de Biodiversidá y Bioloxía Esperimental", como direutora del "Llaboratoriu de Diatomees Continentales", siendo profesora axunta regular[2]
