Kieran Culkin nació'l 30 de setiembre de 1982 na ciudá de Nueva York, fíu de Patricia Brentrup y Cristopher "Kit" Culkin;[9] ye hermanu de los actores: Macaulay Culkin y Rory Culkin; Kieran debutó a la edá de 8 años nun pequeñu papel de la popular película de 1990, Home Alone, na que caracterizaba al insoportable primu-hermanu del protagonista, Fuller. Kieran caltuvo la so carrera como actor a lo llargo de la so adolescencia, destacando en Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Igby Goes Down, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys y Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

A lo llargo de la so carrera, Kieran participó tanto en papeles principales en filmes independientes, como tamién en dalgunos más bien secundarios, dientro de grandes producciones. Probablemente la so interpretación más destacada foi en Igby Goes Down, papel pol cual recibió una nominación pal Globu d'Oru.
