Janet Abbate (3 de xunu de 1962) ye una profesora acomuñada de ciencia, teunoloxía y sociedá na Universidá Estatal de Virginia. La so investigación enfocar na historia de la Ciencies de la computación informática y el Internet, particularmente na participación de muyeres.[2][3]
Carrera académica[editar | editar la fonte]
Abbate recibió la so doctoráu en filosofía de la Universidá de Pennsylvania en 1994. De 1996 a 1998, foi una becaria postdoctoral nel Centru d'Historia del IEEE, onde llevó a cabu una investigación en muyeres na computación.[4] Xunir a la facultá de teunoloxía del campus del Territoriu Capital Nacional Norte de Virginia en 2004 y agora ye una profesora acomuñada y co-direutora del programa de llicenciatura en Ciencia, Teunoloxía, y Sociedá.[5]
