Heliothis ye un xéneru de poliyes, les sos canesbes son plagues agrícoles pa cultivos como'l tabacu, algodón, soya o guandul. Delles de les especies que primeramente se clasificaben nesti xéneru tán agora sol xéneru Helicoverpa.^[1]^[2]
