El paíño de Wilson o paíño común (Oceanites oceanicus) ye una de les especies d'aves peláxiques que formen la familia Hydrobatidae. Incluyíu dientro del xéneru Oceanites, les sos poblaciones actuales sufren el deterioru medioambiental de mares y océanos del Hemisferiu Norte.

Distribución

Esta especie reproducir nes mariñes de la Antártida ya isles vecines tales como les isles Shetland del Sur mientres el branu del hemisferiu sur. El restu del añu pasar nel mar, y muévese escontra los océanos del norte nel iviernu del hemisferiu sur. Ye muncho más común nel Atlánticu norte que nel Pacíficu. Establecióse qu'el paíño de Wilson ye común al este de la mariña de Norte América nel branu del norte y por aciu investigaciones determinóse la bayura estacional d'esta ave n'agües apropiaes n'Europa, inclusive nes isles de Sicilia y Gran Bretaña.

Ye puramente peláxica fuera de la temporada de reproducción, y esto sumáu a lo remoto de los sos sitios de reproducción, fai que sía difícil reparar en tierra al paíño de Wilson. Solo mientres grandes nubes ye qu'esta especie puede averase a tierra.
