Suman Pokhrel ye l'únicu escritor que recibe'l Premiu Lliterariu SAARC dos vegaes. Recibió esti premiu en 2013 y 2015 pola so propia poesía y les sos contribuciones a la poesía y al arte polo xeneral na rexón del sur d'Asia.^[12]
