Barbara Bel Geddes

Barbara Bel Geddes (31 d'ochobre de 1922 - 8 d'agostu de 2005) foi una actriz estaunidense nomada al premiu Oscar.

Biografía

Fía de Helen Belle Sneider y del diseñador Norman Bel Geddes, Barbara Bel Geddes empezó a actuar a los dieciocho años, y maureciendo como artista nos escenarios de Broadway. Al paecer, Bel nun ye un apellíu, sinón el llamatu de la so madre, qu'el so padre utilizó pa faer el so nome más artísticu. Dio'l saltu al cine en 1947, con 25 años, y atropando dende'l primer momentu un gran ésitu que se consolidaría en 1948, cuando foi nomada al Oscar a la meyor actriz de repartu pol so papel en I remember Mama. El so trabayu con Alfred Hitchcock en 1958 en Vertigo interpretando a l'amiga del acoradáu policía James Stewart valió-y mayor fama.

La so actuación más recordada nel teatru foi la que-y apurrió la nominación a un premiu Tony en 1956, el papel de Maggie en ''Cat on a Hot Tin Roof de Tennessee Williams, pero consiguiría la fama mundial na pequeña pantalla y a finales de los 70s, cuando interpretó a Ellie Ewing Farlow en Dallas, serie de televisión que s'emitió mientres trece temporaes hasta 1991.

En casándose dos veces y tener dos fíos de dos talos matrimonios, finó'l 8 d'agostu de 2005, aquexada de cáncer de pulmón, a los 82 años.
