Greta Scacchi (18 de febreru de 1960, Milán) ye una actriz británica d'orixe italianu, de nome real Greta Gracco.

Biografía[editar | editar la fonte]

Fía de padre pintor y madre baillarina, dende Italia treslládase primero a Inglaterra y dempués a Australia xunto a so madre y los sos hermanos.

En 1977 torna a Reinu Xuníu pa dar empiezu a la so carrera artística. Estudia na escuela de teatru Bristol Old Vic, con Miranda Richardson y Amanda Redman. En 1982 fai'l so debú cinematográficu na película alemana Das Zweite Gesicht (The Second Face), a la que siguen importantes papeles en filmes como The Ebony Tower (1984), Good morning, Babilonia (1986), Presuntu inocente (1990), The Player (1993) o Country Life (1994).

Más apocayá intervién en Cotton Mary, El violín coloráu y Puntu de mira (One of the Hollywood Ten), y encarna a Margaret Thatcher nuna serie pa la BBC. Foi dirixida por Michael Radford, Robert Altman y los hermanos Taviani ente otros, y nun tuvo reparos a la d'apaecer desnuda en delles películes.

Greta Scacchi tien tamién una amplia carrera teatral, trabayando cola Sydney Theatre Company (La señorita Julia) o'l West End londinense (Tíu Vania, The Deep Blue Sea, 2008).
