Nació en Los Angeles, California, fíu del músicu y actor Scott Kay. Ye conocíu pola so apaición en Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End como'l fíu de Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) y Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). Tamién ye conocíu como la voz de Wilbur en Charlotte's Web y Buddha en Air Buddies. Dirixó, escribió y protagonizó nel curtiumetraxe Saving Angelo,^[1] una historia basada en fechos reales d'un perru abandonáu dexáu por muertu y qu'él y la so familia rescataron en 2003. Tamién escribió y dirixó otru curtiumetraxe, Grandpa's Cabin.
