C.ambiguus ye una planta yerbácea perenne australiana, miembru de la familia Poaceae.

Descripción

Tien fueyes grises-azulaes.

Cultivu

C. ambiguus precisa un llugar soleyeru. Puede tolerar el secañu estremu una vegada establecíu. Reproducir por división de matos o por granes. Puede cultivase en cualquier suelu y precisa bien poca agua. Crez hasta un altor de 1,8 m. Nun cortar regualarmeente pa una crecedera exuberante.

Taxonomía

Cymbopogon ambiguus describióse por (Hack.) A.Camus y espublizóse en Revue de Botanique Appliquée & d'Agriculture Coloniale 1: 290. 1921.^[1]

Etimoloxía

Cymbopogon: nome xenéricu que remanez del griegu kumbe = (barcu) y pogon = (barba), refiriéndose a les munches arestes y espates paecíes a un barcu.^[2]

ambiguus: epítetu latino que significa "ambiguu, dudosu".^[3]
