Christine Ebersole (21 de febreru de 1953, Chicago) ye una actriz y cantante d'Estaos Xuníos.

Primeros años[editar | editar la fonte]

Christine Ebersole nació en Winnetka, nel condáu d'Illinois.^[2] Ye fía de Mariana Esther Goodley y Robert "Bob" Ebersole, que foi presidente d'una compañía d'aceru en Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cursó estudios secundarios na New Trier High School y asistió al MacMurray College. Egresó de l'American Academy of Dramatic Arts en 1975.^[3]

Carrera[editar | editar la fonte]

Ebersole formó parte del repartu de Saturday Night Live ente 1981 y 1982 y recibió una nominación a los Premios Emmy pol drama One Life to Live. Ente los sos numberosos creitos televisivos figuren Boston Legal, Samantha ¿qué?, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit y los telefilmes Gypsy y The Dollmaker. Tamién apaeció nos especiales de la PBS TV Ira Gershwin at 100: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall y The Rogers & Hart Story: Thou Swell, Thou Witty.

Ebersole grabó tres discos: Christine Ebersole: Live at the Cinegrill, In Your Dreams: Christine Ebersole with Billy Stritch y Sunday in New York: Christine Ebersole and Billy Stritch.

Ebersole ganó dos premios Tony, el más recién pol so papel nel musical de Broadway Grey Greens. La producción llevar a llograr en 2007 el premiu Tony a la Meyor Actriz Protagonista nun Musical pol so doble interpretación de Edith Bouvier Beale y "Little" Edie Beale. Amás, recibió un Outer Critics Circle Award un premiu Obie y un premiu Drama Desk a la Meyor Actriz nun Musical y una mención especial del New York Drama Critics.

Ganó'l so primer premiu Tony en 2001 por 42nd Street, que la llevó a llograr el Premiu a la Meyor Actriz Protagonista nun Musical según el Outer Critics Circle Award. Ebersole tamién cautivó al públicu de Broadway con Dinner at Eight, gallardoniáu en 2003 con un Tony y una nominación a los Outer Critics y con Steel Magnolias.

Nel Off-Broadway, trabayó en Talking Heads, d'Alan Bennett. En febreru, participó nuna nueva versión de Un espíritu burllón xunto a Rupert Everett y Angela Lansbury.

Tuvo casada con Peter Bergman ente 1976 y 1981. En 1988, casóse con Bill Moloney, con quien adoptó trés fíos: Elijah, Mae Mae y Aron.

Ye tida política de l'actriz Janel Moloney. Vive en Maplewood (Nueva Jersey) cola so familia.
