BG Ceti (BG Cet / HD 3326)^[7] ye una estrella variable na constelación de Cetus, la bisarma marina. De magnitú aparente media +6,06, alcuéntrase a 162 años lluz de distancia del Sistema Solar.

De tipu espectral A5m,^[7] BG Ceti ye una estrella químicamente peculiar con sobreabundancia del elementu estronciu.^[8] Amuesa un campu magnéticu intensu, siendo'l so campu magnéticu llonxitudinal <Bz> igual a 99 ± 62 G.^[9] Tien una temperatura efectivo de 7570 K y relluma con una lluminosidá 5,6 vegaes mayor que la del Sol.^[10] Xira sobre sigo mesma con una velocidá de rotación proyeutada de 110 km/s,^[11] unes 55 vegaes más apriesa que'l Sol, habitual n'estrelles de les sos carauterístiques.

Catalogada como variable Delta Scuti, el rellumu de BG Ceti bazcuya 0,003 magnitúes a lo llargo d'un periodu de 0,0299 díes.^[12] Estes variables —ente les que cabe solliñar a Vega (α Lyrae) y Seginus (γ Bootis)— alcuéntrense dientro del diagrama de Hertzsprung-Russell na interseición ente la franxa d'inestabilidá de les cefeides y la secuencia principal. Son estrelles que la so masa ta entendida ente 1,5 y 2,5 mases solares.^[10]
