Aldis ye l'hermanu menor del actor Edwin Hodge.

Aldis Alexander Basil Hodge nació nel condáu de Onslow, Carolina del Norte'l 20 de setiembre de 1986.[4] So padre y so madre (Aldis Hodge y Yolette Evangeline Richardson) sirvieron nos Marines de los EEXX,[5] la madre de Hodge ye del estáu de Florida y so padre ye d'ascendencia dominicana.[6]
Hodge tocaba'l clarinete y el violín cuando yera neñu, pero na edá adulta centróse más nel violín, mercando'l primeru a los 18 años.[7]Amás d'actuar, Hodge diseña relós, escribe, pinta, y asiste a l'Art Center College of Design en Pasadena, California.[8]
Nel 2007 Hodge foi gallardoniáu col papel de Alec Hardison el día del so 21º cumpleaños.[9] En 2010, recibió una nominación a los Premios Saturno al Meyor Actor de Repartu en Televisión pol so papel en Leverage. Foi nomáu xunto a Jeremy Davies y Michael Emerson de Lost, Aaron Paul de Bad Breaking AMC, John Noble de Fringe y Alexander Skarsgard de True Blood.[10] La victoria foi p'Aaron Paul.[11]
