AF Leporis (AF Lep / HD 35850 / HR 1817) ye una estrella de magnitú aparente +6,31[9] na constelación de Lepus, la llebre. Alcuéntrase a 87 años lluz del Sistema Solar y ye miembru de l'Asociación estelar de Beta Pictoris.[10]
Carauterístiques[editar | editar la fonte]
AF Leporis ye una nana mariella de tipu espectral F7V que la so temperatura superficial ye de 6047 K[11] —6280 K según otru estudiu—.[10] Un 77% más lluminosa que'l Sol,[11] la so masa envalórase en 1,27 mases solares.[12] Tien un radiu un 22% más grande que'l radiu solar —siendo este un valor envaloráu— y xira sobre sigo mesma con una velocidá de rotación proyeutada de 52,6 km/s.[13] El so conteníu metálico correspuende a 3/4 partes del que tien el Sol.[14] Piénsase que ye una estrella nueva con una edá averada ente 10 y 30 millones d'años.[11]
AF Leporis ta catalogada como variable RS Canum Venaticorum y, como correspuende a esta clase de variables, ye posible que seya una estrella binaria.[14] El so rellumu varia ente magnitú +6,26 y +6,35 a lo llargo d'un curtiu periodu que la so duración ye de namái 1 día.[15]
