Richard Denning (27 de marzu de 1914, Poughkeepsie (es) – 11 d'ochobre de 1998, Escondido) foi un actor d'Estaos Xuníos conocíu pol so trabayu en películes como Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) y An Affair to Remember (1957), según pol so papel d'home de Lucille Ball en My Favorite Husband (1948–1951), antecedente de la serie televisiva I Love Lucy, na cual Denning foi reemplazáu pol home de Ball na vida real, Desi Arnaz.

El so verdaderu nome yera Louis Albert Heindrich Denninger, Jr., y nació en Poughkeepsie, Nueva York. Foi un actor conocíu principalmente pol so papel recurrente del Gobernador de Hawaii Paul Jameson na serie de la CBS Hawaii Five-O (1968–1980). Tamién interpretó'l papel del títulu na serie detectivesca Michael Shayne (1960–61), y compartió cartelu con Barbara Britton n'otra serie de detectives, Mr. and Mrs. North (1952–1954). Más palantre foi'l Dr. Greg Graham en "The Flying Doctor" (1959). Amás, intervieno en trés causes na serie d'antoloxía de l'ABC Crossroads.
Según Denning, por cuenta de la Segunda Guerra Mundial hubo d'estremase temporalmente del so oficiu y, tres la so vuelta, tuvo 18 meses en paru primero que Paramount Pictures diéra-y trabayu. Nesi periodu Denning y la so familia vivíen nuna casa móvil qu'él aparcaba alternativamente en Malibú (California) y Palm Springs. Denning tuvo casáu cola reina de les películes d'horror de la década de 1940 Evelyn Ankers (coprotagonista de L'home llobu), que se retiró del cine a los 32 años d'edá tres el so matrimoniu. En finando Ankers por causa de un cáncer en 1985, Denning casóse con Patricia Leffingwell.
Richard Denning finó en Escondido (California), en 1998, por causa de un paru cardiaco. Foi soterráu nel Campusantu de Veteranos de Maui.
