RZ Arietis (RZ Ari / ρ² Arietis / 45 Arietis / HD 18191)^[9] ye una estrella variable na constelación d'Aries, visualmente a 20 minutos d'arcu al nordeste de ρ³ Arietis. De magnitú aparente media +5,80, alcuéntrase a unos 405 años lluz del Sistema Solar.

RZ Arietis ye una xigante colorada de tipu espectral M6III con una temperatura efectivo ente 3250^[10] y 3442 K.^[11] Ye una auténtica estrella xigante, similar a 30 Herculis o EU Delphini. El so radiu, calculáu a partir de la midida direuta del so diámetru angular —9,4 milisegundos d'arcu—,^[12] ye 125 vegaes mayor que'l radiu solar. Si tuviera nel llugar del Sol, la so superficie estenderíase más allá de la órbita de Mercuriu. Relluma con una lluminosidá equivalente a 328 soles.

El rellumu de RZ Arietis varia en 0,4 magnitúes, tando catalogada como una variable semirregular de tipu SRB. Esiste un periodu principal de 56,5 díes y unu secundariu de 37,7 díes.^[13]
