Mabel "Nell" Taliaferro (21 de mayu de 1887, Nueva York – 24 de xineru de 1979, Honolulu) foi una actriz teatral y de cine estauxunidense, activa na dómina del cine mudu y conocida como la Novia de les Películes Americanes.

Biografía[editar | editar la fonte]

El so nome completu yera Maybelle Evelyn Taliaferro, y nació na ciudá de Nueva York. Criada en Richmond (Virxinia), yera descendiente per caña paterna d'una de les primeres families que s'asitiaron en Virxinia nel sieglu XVII, los Taliaferro, orixinaria del norte d'Italia. Taliaferro yera la hermana de l'actriz teatral y de cine Edith Taliaferro y prima de l'actriz Bessie Barriscale.

En 1912 empecipió la so carrera actuando pa los Selig Studios con una versión de Cenicienta coprotagonizada pol so home, Thomas Carrigan.[3] Siguió trabayando nel cine hasta'l so retiru en 1921. Aun así, en 1940 participó nun últimu filme, My Love Came Back.

Mabel Taliaferro finó en 1979 en Honolulu, Ḥawai.
