La Biblioteca del Congresu (Library of Congress), d'Estaos Xuníos, allugada en Washington DC y fundada en 1800, ye la mayor biblioteca del mundu. Cunta con más de 134 millones de volúmenes en más de 460 llingües. El documentu más antiguu ye una tablina de piedra del añu 2040 edC.

La Biblioteca ta organizada en sales de llectura, ventinueve en total, una d'estes sales ye la Sala Hispánica de Llectura, creada en 1939 y llamada asina n'honor a la influyente Hispanic Society of America.
